Partnerhub Basic Concepts

The RealEquity Partner Program distinguishes between the following types of Partners:

  • Integration Partners
  • Referral Partners
  • Order Partners
  • Customers with integration access

Partners can currently offer products and services of four distinct Product Types, each mapped to a corresponding Product Package Type. These are:

  • API Access Product
  • Order Product
  • Referral Product
  • System Extension Product

It’s Product Packages, not Products, that are installed. Product Packages can only contain Products of the same kind, but this isn’t a limitation, since here, the Type only servers as the most precise description of the main purpose of the Product and Product Package. For example, a Referral Product can employ both API access and a System Extension, insofar as both are related to the referral functionality.

Installation takes place on Resource Group level, not Tenant level. Product Packages are installed through the Marketplace, part of the Partner and Agent Universe user interfaces, which is basically the same thing but with differentiated permissions.

Order and referral products and services can be configured programmatically and using the user interface. The same goes for invokation or use of products and services once configured. To recap information available elsewhere on the this site, the user interfaces of Real Equity are:

  • The Customer Universe
  • The Agent Universe
  • The Partner Universe

:information_source: At the time of writing (june 2022), configuration of products and services through the user interface will be handled by C&B staff on the partners’ behalf. Partners requiring more flexibility and control can create and maintain products and services through the API.

Real-estate domain concepts

Orders

An order in the real-estate domain is much like an order in any other domain. A customer purchases a product or service from a supplier and pays an agreed sum for it. For example, in relation to a Case, a real-estate case worker might order services from a partner specialized in property photography or printed marketing.

Referrals

In the real-estate domain, a referral entails the transfer of information about a legal person or entity between stakeholders providing products and services related to real-estate transactions. For example, a bank might refer a potential seller to a real-estate agent, and vice versa for a potential buyer. A real-estate agent might refer a buyer to an electrical utility company or an internet provider. In the case of a referral, and much unlike an order, the receiving party pays the sender (in return for the potential new business generated).

It follows from the above that in RealEquity, a referral always takes an Actor as it’s point of departure. It is the Actor who is being referred.

:white_check_mark: In RealEquity, a Referral always takes an Actor as it’s point of departure. It is the Actor who is being referred.

In the user interface of the Agent Universe, the real-estate agent can make a referral by navigating to an Actor, and and clicking “Opret” (in English, “Create”) under “Sendte henvisninger” (in English, “Sent Referrals”). In a future release, the end-user will also be able to implicitly refer herself through a request from the Customer Universe.

RealEquity domain concepts

Products

In RealEquity, products and services are all subtypes of the Product Entity, meaning that all real-estate domain products and services are considered Products. Orders and referrals from the real-estate domain are mapped directly to corresponding subtypes. “API Access” and “System Extension Product” are two supplementary subtypes used to classify products and services based not on real-estate concepts, but on their main technical method of operation. As mentioned above, the Product Types serves as a descriptor for the main purpose of a product or service. A single Product can work with orders or referrals, access the API, and extend the user interface.

A Partner wanting to provide a Product must create (or have created…) a Product created containing relevant master data.

:information_source: At the time of writing (june 2022), configuration of products and services through the user interface will be handled by C&B staff on the partners’ behalf. Partners requiring more flexibility and control can create and maintain products and services through the API.

Product Packages

It’s Product Packages, not Products, that are published through the Marketplace and thereby made available to potential customers or referrers. Accordingly, in order to distribute a Product to a broader audience, it must be included in a Product Package. As mentioned above, Product Packages can only contain Products of the same kind, but this isn’t a limitation, as the Product and Product Package Type is merely a descriptor of the main purpose.

Marketplace

Product Packages can be installed and uninstalled through the Marketplace, which is part of the Partner and Agent Universes, by users with appropriate permissions.

Order Organizations

After a Product has been created, it’s possible to configure several parameters. If the Product is an order or referral, it’s possible to configure additional potential senders and recipients which can be used both programmatically and through the user interface. In the RealEquity domain, these are called Order Organizations, are Entities, and can be organized into Order Organization Groups, which are also Entities. In the user interface, they’re referred to as Order Recipients.
