# Multi Entity Reference Information Element

The Multi-Entity Reference IE Base Type is used to hold references to multiple Entities. The referenced Entities can be of different Types. On a Request, for example, it’s also possible to add multiple individual [Entity Reference IE Base Type](https://docs.realequity.dk/docs/entity-reference-ie-base-type) Information Elements instead.

# Properties

| Property | Type | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| items | List of references to Entities | Holds a list of references to Entities. The references are not Information Elements themselves, just ordinary JSON data structures. |

# “items” element properties

> ⚠ “referenceNamespace”\* cannot be omitted. If omitted, the element will be discarded from the _“items”_ list.

| Property | Type | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| referenceNamespace | String (Required) | The Namespace of the referenced Entity, e.g. “dk.realequity.case.sale”. |
| referenceId | Guid (Required) | The ID of the referenced Entity. |

# Example

The properties _“namespace”_ and _“parentId”_ are inherited from the Data Node Type. Here, they’re used to define the created Data Node as a Multi-Entity Reference IE, and to make it a child of a Request.
